Facilities

The surgery is a new building with disabled access to all areas of the premises this includes our front entrance where we have wide automated doors for easy access. We have fully featured disabled washroom facilities which are equipped with personal distress alarms that are connected to reception. We also have baby changing facilities and large easily accessible patient washrooms.

Animals are not permitted on the premises other than those accompanying our patients who are blind, or who have dogs to assist them with a hearing impairment or for any other assist reason.

There is designated disabled parking directly to the front of the surgery entrance and a patient car park to the right of the property.

Should patients require an interpreter then this can be organised by prior arrangement, please just contact reception and they will make the necessary arrangements. The practice has a hearing loop at reception and a portable hearing loop for use in the clinician's rooms when required. We also have a private room next to reception for any patient who wishes to speak to a member of staff in private for confidentiality purposes or to discuss a sensitive matter.

Since July 31st 2016 we have adopted the Accessible Information Standard. This new legislation directs and defines a specific and consistent approach to identifying, recording, flagging, sharing and meeting the information and communication support needs of patients, service users, carers and parents where those needs relate to a disability, impairment or sensory loss. For further information go to our website page Accessible Information.
